Wild Crops Restoration S.E.E.D. FUND Agreement
Self-Employed Empowering Development
of Brave New Wares Development Group
August 18, 2006
The sole purpose of the S.E.E.D. FUND is to financially match and assist in the expediting of regionally dedicated systems for both *sustainable resource challenges, including; labor costs of reforestation and monitoring; and those start-up costs of *economically challenged micro-enterprise for equipment, tools and materials needed specifically for value-added product harvest, value-added processing and assembly.
This agreement shall utilize the “premium” which is purported to exist for our type of “premium certified products”. Within the base cost of material resources, Brave New Wares will commit the premium estimated to establish regional S.E.E.D. FUNDS. The S.E.E.D. FUND of BNW from its product costing is only for those wares that are cooperatively and collaboratively designed, to add up to 26% to the wholesale base pricing of natural and or wild resources from regions who reforest, monitor, harvest and assemble value-added products from wild certified or *wild warranted resources.
This estimated “premium” will be re-evaluated each year from an analysis of actual sales and modified for the following year, higher or lower by Brave New Wares and its S.E.E.D. FUND Directing Board. Regional S.E.E.D. Funds will be set aside in an impound account, distributed only for purposes which meet the S.E.E.D. FUND charter.
Each Region who participates will form its regional directing board, whose membership will comprise representation from non-profit resource managers, micro-enterprise stakeholders, economic development, cooperative development centers and private charitable foundations. Regional hosting of the S.E.E.D. FUND can also be provided by any of the non-profit sector who has the initiative and capability to administer it, under the direction of that region’s S.E.E.D. FUND Board.
Recipient regions of the S.E.E.D. FUND will be those regions working directly with Brave New Wares Development Group to develop their regional natural and wild resources, including; existing products and the development of new products for the sustainable living family wage of those empowered by the use of the S.E.E.D. FUND to become self employed, as they learn to cultivate and protect the sustainability of their natural and wild resources.
The invested regional premium (up to 26% added to wholesale material cost) will be issued to an established impound account, with a Regional Board of not less than 3 members, each quarter from actual sales that quarter. A semi-annual report of its use will be required for BNWDG records.
*sustainable resource challenges – including education, reforestation, monitoring,
*economically challenged micro-enterprise – licensed home-based enterprises under 30k annual sales.
*wild warranted – BNW Wild Warranty offered implicitly to its consumers by our producer’s screening.
This agreement may be modified by BNWDG and its S.E.E.D. FUND Board, with notice to all parties--
